I love animated media with a strong female lead. It's very encouraging to see girls and women performing heroic deeds, wielding power and taking charge. I wish there were more female doctors, firefighters, lawyers, professors, scientists, pilots, space captains, pirates, etc. Unfortunately, there is a serious lack of female professionals represented in television and film, especially portraying women of colour. This needs to change in the future!
