In this unit you can learn about directions, prepositions, traffic signs and buildings.


Do you like to travel? If so, knowing the English words for directions, places and road signs will be very helpful! Whether you are asking for directions, or giving directions, knowing some key words can make all the difference!

Prepositions


When studying, you can make your own drawings! Drawings are a type of mnemonic device. A mnemonic device helps you remember something. Mnemonic devices can be songs, poems, rhymes, acrostics, acronyms, drawings, cartoons, graphs, charts, dances, plays, anything that helps you remember! Do you like minions? You can draw a cartoon with the minions speaking English! You could draw a picture of a minion and label the different body parts or clothes! Use your imagination and be creative!

Dress Code for Female Teachers in Thailand

Since I am a female teacher, I must wear a skirt to work every day. Now, if you’re a feisty feminist like myself, you probably do not fancy this at all. That being said, I have gotten used to it. Although the dress code certainly isn’t my favourite thing about teaching in Thailand, I do recommend the experience overall, despite that.   In this unit, you can practice movie genre vocabulary including: like, don't like, watch, movies, genres, animated, comedy, action, science fiction, fantasy, romance, drama, horror, and documentary.
